Weird things happen when it's gray and rainy outside, like Chris Pendley and Incipient_Senescence getting together on a G+ hangout to guess the week 7 lines. Only one of these two people is any good at this.
This was way more fun than it had any right to be, and no, this is only tangentially related to Tennessee. I_S and I did some line-guessing offline last week, and we figured that a) since he normally does this and b) I had fun doing this last week, why not c) record the thing and put it online since we were going to talk about it anyway?
If you're the kind of person who reads all the text before clicking on the little video, well, you can stop reading the text now, since the video is right there.
At some point, I need to fix my mic. In the meantime, well, this is what you get. Other lines that came out after we recorded this:
- Mississippi State -2.5
- UCLA -5.5 (so we were right, nobody has any idea about this game)
- West Virginia -6
- Notre Dame -10 (!))
- in a note of irony, nobody has Nevada/UNLV live right now.
All told, I_S was closer on 17(!) lines, and I snagged 6 of them. We matched on Virginia Tech/Duke, and ...well, see above for Nevada-UNLV.
- Also, it looks like Baylor -7 right now
