I've seen it mentioned before on message boards and such the last two days, but when a radio station and a newspaper report it, it starts to get legs...
I live in Nashville, and as you may know, the University of Tennessee fired HC Derek Dooley today after an abysmal season. Not long after, it was announced by a Knoxville radio station, a Vols beat writer and a Chattanooga Newspaper that the Tennessee Volunteers have already been in contact with Jon Gruden, Bob Stoops and UCLA Bruins Head Coach, Jim L. Mora.
Coach Mora has stated in the past that he would like to coach in the SEC and the Vols can definitely throw a ton of money at him.
I have contacted Chris Foster and TJ Simers of the LA Times to maybe ask a question or two, in order squash the rumor or confirm its validity.
With the incredible job that Coach Mora has done for my Bruins this year, it makes me sick to think that this is even remotely possible.
