So I don't often post here, but I'm wondering - am I alone in being tired of rooting for other SEC teams in bowl games? It seems like ever since 2008, we depressed Vols fans have consoled ourselves mainly by congratulating each other on how awesome the SEC is. Which it is, of course, but aren't we supposed to be the mortal enemies of the other teams in it?
After last year's Bama-LSU national championship (or "The Worst Game Ever Part Deaux") I'm completely sick of it. I don't like Alabama. I have a grudging respect for Nick Saban, but I also think he's a complete douche and AJ McCarron just plain sucks. Same basic story for Georgia, Richt and Murray. I was hoping to see Oregon vs. K-State this year, but since they're both out of it I'll be rooting for Notre Dame in the championship against whoever wins the SEC championship. The more misery our opponents endure, the better. Curious to see if anyone agrees.
