Hey now, just because we might not hear our name called at 6:00 PM doesn't mean our season is over just yet.
If/when the final embers of Tennessee's NCAA Tournament hopes die out at 6:00 PM ET on CBS, the NIT Selection Show is at 9:00 PM on ESPNU. If it's the NIT (or, by some miracle, the First Four in Dayton), the turnaround will be fast: first round NIT contests are played Tuesday and Wednesday, second round games on Thursday and Friday, meaning the Vols could be playing a pair of games at Thompson-Boling in just a few days. We'll stay on top of ticket availability and everything you need to know on Tennessee's next opponent.
As for the miracle, three of sixty-two brackets in the latest Bracket Matrix have the Vols in the NCAA Tournament. That's 4.8%, which is a good measure of exactly how much hope one should have right now. It'll be disappointing not to see our name in the field, and the loss from Thursday Friday still stings, but the fact that this season isn't over continues to be a testament to the good work Cuonzo Martin is doing.
And yes, we will have a bracket pool with details on that coming shortly. For now, watch along with us and leave your comments here.
