This is a FanPost from a visiting Missouri fan. Help them out, if you can. -- Eds.
Hello new SEC East friends!
You might recall that this year marks Mizzou's inaugural season the Southeastern Conference. And if you take a quick look at your beloved Volunteers' football schedule, you will see that a new breed of Tigers - with stripes of black and gold - will be paying you a visit on November 10. Do not fear; we come in peace, and we brought beer.
Over at the Mizzou SB Nation blog, Rock M Nation, our readers and contributors have helped compile "Rock M Nation's Guide to Columbia" which is a whole-hearted attempt at helping visitors and fans alike figure out what to do in College Town, USA. Since I, and several of my Mizzou friends, will be making the trip to Knoxville in early November, I want to hear from you how we should best spend our weekend in the shadow of the Great Smoky Mountains. First, a few details:
- Hotel rooms and tickets are already secured. We are staying about 10 minutes from Neyland Stadium.
- Since we will be arriving Friday afternoon/early evening and leaving Sunday morning, we only require suggestions for Friday activities and, depending on the time of kick-off, pre/post-game activities.
- My friends and I are recent Mizzou grads, and we want our Knoxville experience to reflect how a typical University of Tennessee student would celebrate a home football game. If that calls for moonshine, then so be it.
Those are your marching orders, Volunteer faithful. Now get to work! (And please feel free to visit us in Columbia anytime. We would love to have you.)
