A lot of important things happened yesterday. We talked a little bit in the game thread, but a lot of folks were in bed by then, so if you want input, now's the time. Preliminary ballot is here. If you want to argue anything, feel free. If you want justification on anything, just ask. Ballot probably submitted before I go to bed (or Chris goes to bed, I'm not sure who's voting this week), so get thoughts in this evening.
1. Alabama
2. Oregon
3. Florida State
4. LSU
5. Georgia
6. Kansas State
7. South Carolina
8. Notre Dame
9. Texas
10. TCU
11. Stanford
12. Clemson
13. Southern California
14. West Virginia
15. Oklahoma
16. Florida
17. Oregon State
18. Louisiana Tech
19. Louisville
20. Michigan State
21. Michigan
22. Mississippi State
23. Ohio
24. Arizona
25. Rutgers
- I feel pretty good about 1 through 9, but you could argue 10 to 16 in almost any order. I forgot to ask where Stanford and Southern Cal slot in last night, so if you have opinions, give them.
- Similarly 17 to 23. Any order you please. Oregon State has the best wins, and Louisiana Tech looked really impressive at Illinois, so I jumped them up a bit. Not sure exactly how far Sparty and Michigan should fall, but 20 sounded about right. They could just as easily go ahead of Louisville or behind Ohio. MSU and OU are just hanging out.
- Yeah, Arizona got crushed, but I'm of the opinion that Oregon is just that good. Your other candidate to sneak in the back half of the poll is Baylor, so if you like Baylor better than Arizona and Rutgers, give me arguments. If you have another candidate, give me arguments.
