As you may've noticed, lots of things happened last night. There was some discussion of our BlogPoll ballot in the comments, but lots of more things happened late last night. So our ballot, although we were already down on Nebraska, Wisconsin, and Arkansas (hooray prescience!) will need some significant revision. I think we pretty well talked out the top ten, but the back end is a complete mess. So I'm going to throw out some teams, and I want y'all to tell me whether the orderings are legit or crazy. Go!
1. Alabama
2. Oregon
3. LSU (should they go above Oregon?)
4. Michigan State
5. Florida State
6. Southern California
7. Georgia (above Southern Cal?)
8. Clemson
9. South Carolina
10. Oklahoma
11. Kansas State
12. West Virginia (hooray not playing!)
13. TCU
14. Texas (why not just throw all the Big 12 teams in a row? I swear, this wasn't even on purpose)
15. Notre Dame
16. Michigan
17. Ohio
18. Louisville
19. Arizona
20. Boise State
21. Mississippi State
22. Louisiana-Monroe
23. UCLA
24. Baylor
25. Oregon State/Stanford/South Florida/BYU/Virginia Tech/[your nominee here]
This really wasn't on my radar until I checked the box score, but I'm inclined to go with Oregon State for #25. They held Wisconsin to 207 yards of offense. That's good enough for a ranking in my book. Also worth noting that they visit UCLA next week, so one of those teams won't last long, and we'll figure out which one soon enough.
Also, the B1G really sucked yesterday. And the Pac-12 had a really good day. Except when they played the SEC.
Thoughts? Like I said, the last 10 spots or so are a total mess. If you like my random, semi-arbitrary ordering, that's cool. If not, give me ideas (and arguments for said ideas).
