Men's Outdoor Track = SEC Champs
I think this is the first mention of track (and field) on this blog, but it is definitely worth mentioning. The UT Men's Track team wrapped up the SEC Outdoor Championship this weekend down in Tuscaloosa, Alabamer!
Granted, I haven't followed the particular sport since I was a participant in my high school days, but this is worth mentioning because:
- UT Athletic Championships are ALWAYS good things, regardless of sport.
- This is UT's 25th (TWENTY-FIFTH!!!) men's outdoor SEC title, which equates to exactly 1/3 of all possible. Who do they think they are? Lady Vols Basketball?!
Side note, does anybody have any idea what happened to the other track events (e.g., high jump, pole vault, long jump, etc.)? Are these grouped with indoor events or something? Are they excluded by the NCAA for some particular reason?
