Missouri and West Virgina both got beat. Ohio State didn't play because the Big Ten doesn't have a championship game. Georgia and Kansas didn't play in their conference championship games because they didn't win their division. Virginia Tech won the ACC today, but lost by 41 points to LSU earlier in the season and has the same record.

Missouri and West Virginia will fall because they lost to underdogs. Georgia and Kansas should not play for the national championship because they didn't win their respective conferences. LSU should be ranked higher than Virginia Tech because they have the same record and because the Tigers mauled the Hokies head to head.

Ohio State should meet LSU in the National Championship game. LSU should win.

Tennessee would then have lost to consecutive national champions by a grand total of eight points.
