The Papa has dismissed sophomore special teams phenom and Sports Illustrated cover boy Antonio Wardlow and sophomore Dorian Davis from the team for the ever popular "violation of team rules."

Bad news.

Sounds like fights, illegal drug usage, DUI, and subsequent arrests will get you and your teammates a lecture from the coach. Maybe even a game or two suspension.

Heaven-forbid, should you miss a team meeting or 'voluntary' work out, you get booted from the squad.

Makes complete, illogical sense to me!

[Disclaimer: I do not have any 'insider' information for the reason of the dismissal. Seems quite hokey that a "Violation of Team Rules" gets you thrown from the team, yet violations of local, state, and federal law get checked with a slap on the wrist. My only guess is that there were repeated violations of team rules with no effort made to correct the problem. Shameful.]

Maybe I should have read the article first. Sounds like these two were already in the dog-house for various reasons. You had your chance(s) and you blew it(them). No more sympathy for you, fellas. Thanks for the memories and best of luck in the future.
