Surprise, surprise, surprise! Look at the shootin' and scorin'. And yikesahmighty, look at all that blue in the rebound box. That's some disparity there.

Please note that the following stats do not include last night's games. I'm not sure when StatSheet updates its data, and I didn't want to wait. I doubt that much changed last night anyway.

They're taller than Auburn
One thing I realized this morning - Auburn had one starting forward (Prowell) and 4 guards.  When Prowell got in fowell trouble (get it?), they were decidedly shorter than UT, which is why UT could dominate the interior.

Memphis is much taller.  They'll start two 6'-9" forwards and three guards who are 6'-7", 6'-6", and 6'-3".  That's probably the reason they do so well on rebounds - especially defensive rebounds where they can box people out.  We can probably still run an interior game, but it won't be as dominant as Wednesday's performance.  More importantly, we'll have to shoot better than our average to minimize the number of opportunities for rebounds.

One other thought.  3-point misses tend to bounce further away from the basket than closer misses due to their greater energy.  If our perimeter play is more aggressive, the height advantage could be somewhat neutralized both on the shots and on the rebounds, as some rebounds might go over their heads.  Maybe it'll be a Lofton Extravaganza?

Ya-huh!
I doubt that much changed last night anyway.

Ya-huh!  Mr. Chism fouled out last night, slashing our ~500 fouls/foul out ratio to a mere ~250 fouls/foul out!
