Update [2008-3-20 23:0:11 by Joel]: It's over. Belmont made one key mistake, turning the ball over on an in-bounds play, and still had a chance from half-court. They just missed the upset of the Tourney.

There's about 12:00 left, and Belmont's only down four.

And down by one. Surely they'll have a play for a basket. Two or three points, then it will be up to Belmont. Rick Byrd is a fantastic coach, and he should be able to get an opportunity for Renfroe or one of his three-point guys.

Bummer. Right there. Congrats to Belmont and Rick Byrd. Fantastic game. I've known about Byrd since I went there. Vince Gill has a celebrity basketball game and concert for charity, and I was the student leader for the thing in 1995. On a committee with Byrd. The man is fantastic. This was not a fluke. It's only a matter of time before they starting making a very loud noise.
