C-Lo's Story

Chest-bumped for an extraordinarily obvious reason. Kinda makes you rethink Lofton's scoring "slump", eh? Many thanks to Getoffmyvols for posting this.

Update [2008-5-2 10:12:45 by Joel]: Man, I really regret being so busy this week that I can't offer up a post devoted to praising Lofton, which he richly deserves. Fortunately, A Sea of Blue has done it for us. Don't miss it. Thanks, guys.

Not sure if you have heard or seen yet, but today it was released that prior to the 07-08 season Chris Lofton fought and won his battle with Testicular Cancer. Go to this must read Chris Low article to get the details as he tells this story in a way that brings a tear to your eye.

What an amazing young man. This is a truly inspiring story of character. Chris wanted this season to be about the team and kept this battle private. He shows us what sports and life for that matter are all about, the ability to go out and compete.

Thank you Chris for the excitement and joy you've brought us. We all wish you and your family nothing but the best.

Standing O
chest-bumps, high fives, all of that.  Chris is the definition of a Volunteer.  I want to apologize/retract any criticisms/doubts of C-Lo that I may have had during the previous season.  Truly amazing story!  Thank you, Chris!
Proudly returning to the EBMCC (Eric Berry Man Crush Club)!

Amazing
Chris Lofton is truely an amazing young man.  He has the heart and drive of a true champion and hero.  I am sure he makes you all very proud to be wearing orange - as he should.  This was an incredible story of will and determination.  Lofton deserves to be admired.  What a remarkable human being.

Couldn't be prouder.
More important than the color of his uniform is the strength of his character.  This is a guy I'd be proud of no matter what team he played for - or if he even played on a team.

But yes, we're proud to call him one of ours.
