Senior receiver Bret Smith back out for the Outback

So first he had "flight difficulties." Then he had to turn in some extra work to try to improve a D to a C. They expected him back. But Bret Smith is officially ineligible for his last game as a Volunteer.

So what's it mean to the team? Less risk for Penn State when doubling Robert Meachem and Jayson Swain. More opportunities for Lucas Taylor or whomever will take Smith's spot.

And what about the tight ends? Perhaps even more of an opportunity for Brad Cottam and/or Chris Brown?

How much will not having Smith available hurt the Vols? What do y'all think?
