Texas drops to No. 8 after losing to Ohio State, and Notre Dame, West Virginia, LSU, and Florida move up to fill the void. Auburn stays at No. 4, but could easily trade places with Notre Dame. A similar shift further on down, as Tennessee, Florida State, and Iowa all had close wins over teams they should have beaten handily. Georgia, Louisville, Michigan, and others benefit from the slides. Miami stays under FSU because of their loss to the Seminoles. The bottom five gets realy murky.
Games I watched: In attendance at Tennessee-Air Force. Defense could not solve Air Force's flexbone triple option offense, but offense looked great. Lost two key starters during the game, though, so forecast is more dire than last week. Ohio State at Texas.
