Discombobulator still sidelined, Peyton Manning still heading to the Super Bowl

  • Chris Lofton is still nursing his sprained ankle and won't play against Georgia. The Vols have lost five of their last six games, and they'll be playing at No. 1 Florida Saturday and at home against a good Georgia team (which has won five of its last six games) without The Discombobulator tomorrow night. Things are not looking quite as rosy as they were back in December. The Tennessean's Chris Low is opining that Tennessee must win at least half of their remaining games, which would put them at 7-9 in conference play heading into the SEC Tournament. Put in your two cents on the new poll over there, which asks whether they can make it to March Madness.
  • About 71% of the folks on Rocky Top Talk think that Peyton Manning's going to get himself a Super Bowl ring this weekend. On that note, The Tennessean is promising a week-long series on Manning starting today. Be sure to also check out SBN's Colts Blog Stampede Blue, which will be all over Indianapolis this week.

That's all I have time for this morning. We're hoping we can start announcing the winners of the 2006 College Football Blogger Awards tomorrow. Emphasis on hoping.
