Hey, folks. Guess what? We've played a game, and it's still tourney time in Tennessee!
It seems like it was just yesterday that . . . nevermind. It was yesterday. And the next game is tomorrow, so this post will serve as both a Virginia cram session and a game day open thread.
WARNING: Typo and misinformation zone. What do you expect when you wait until the night before the test to start studying?
All right then, somebody get me some rosters!

Nice wins at Arizona, Duke, and Virginia Tech, and their losses don't seem that bad, except for that one to HOT HOT HOT Appalachian State.
But here's a bit of disconcerting news:
ACC Basketball Standings
|
||||
TEAM | Conference Record | Overall Record
North Carolina | 11-5 | 29-6
Virginia | 11-5 | 21-10 | ||
Maryland | 10-6 | 25-9 | ||
Virginia Tech | 10-6 | 22-11
Boston College | 10-6 | 21-12
Duke | 8-8 | 22-11 | ||
Georgia Tech | 8-8 | 20-12 | ||
Clemson | 7-9 | 22-10 | ||
Florida State | 7-9 | 22-12
North Carolina State | 5-11 | 20-15
Wake Forest | 5-11 | 15-16 | ||
Miami (FL) | 4-12 | 12-20 |
Yikes. The Virginia Cavaliers tied for first in the ACC. The ACC. With No. 1 Seed North Carolina. Higher than NCAA Tournament teams Maryland and Virginia Tech (both of which won their first round games) and Georgia Tech (which lost its first round game).
So consider this team North Carolina without Tyler Hansbrough but with better guards. The ACC's highest scoring duo -- point guard Sean Singletary and shooting guard J.R. Reynolds -- each contribute around 18 points and 4 assists per game toward the box score. As a team, Virginia averages more than eight three-pointers per game. The Cavs are relatively weak inside, but then again, so are we.
Another Long Beach State? No. Long Beach State with a schedule? Perhaps. We'll find out tomorow. Whatever the case, it should be a fun game to watch.
