Unlike Michigan and Britney Spears, the Vols at least appear to be making an actual comeback from their opening loss to Cal. Stay tuned for this week's match up against the Gators, though, as it figures to be more dramatic than the Hornswoggle announcement.
- Andre Caldwell, Florida's top receiver, sprained his MCL against Troy last week, and won't play against Tennessee this week. Of course, Tennessee cornerback Antonio Gaines is also out for Saturday's game with an unspecified but "significant" knee injury. Also, Florida's speedy, shifty little Brandon James is expected to play, but he's sprained his ankle. So, we take a queen, give up a bishop, and they convert a knight to a pawn. Maybe, perhaps?
- Tennessee made good on six of the seven game maxims this past week against Southern Miss, according to The Power T. Doug also kicks off Florida week with a quote from Johnny Majors: "Attack, attack, attack. Always attack."
- I'm with X Smack: this is perhaps one of the oddest things I have ever seen. Can anyone explain?
- Don't forget to enter this week's Hail Mary Haiku and to make your picks for the RTT College Pick 'Em game.
- Roll your own over at the College Football Scheduler.
- SB Nation Chicago Cubs blog Bleed Cubbie Blue was featured, and I mean featured, in the Chicago Tribune on Sunday. Congrats to Al.
And . . . time's up already. Keep your eye on the Magic Google Column for updates throughout the day.
