Do not mess with Brent Vinson: one of three things I learned at lunch

Stuff I heard on my iPod while eating lunch in my car, vaguely half remembered, probably incorrectly, un- fact-checked or otherwise verified, and probably just made up in between sips of aspartame.

  • Josh Briscoe is undoubtedly in the camp that believes Brent Vinson is one of the best athletes on the team. Vinson apparently mixed it up with Briscoe (who's a tae kwon do guy) and got the best of him in a matter of seconds. Vinson may be feeling a good deal of frustration. Word is Vinson's academic standing is in question, and the coaches are apparently acting as if Vinson won't be available without coming right out and saying so. If he's that good, why isn't he practicing with the first team?
  • Gerald Williams' eligibility is also still up in the air, apparently, due to academics. Yieesowow.
  • So . . . yes, both are bad, but which is worse? I say Williams only because we have better depth at corner.
