Join the 2008 RTT College Pick 'Em Pool

Change in plans, y'all.

We'll be trying out Fun Office Pools for this season's RTT College Pick 'Em Game. The advantage that this new site has over ESPN is that we can customize the games to pick. At this point, the plan is to pick between 10 and 15 games each week. We'll do all Tennessee games and all games involving Florida, Georgia, LSU, and Auburn because we hate those guys. Each week will also feature some of the other big national games. Of course, that's all up for grabs if I fall behind and I need to tweak it to make myself look better.

To participate, just join the Rocky Top Talk pool.  (Once you sign up, you'll need to go to the Fun Office Pools main page and log in from there, I think.)

The first picks are due by Thursday, so you don't have a lot of time to complain to me about having to register with yet another site. Get over it and sign up already. Everybody else is doing it, and you -- yes, you -- will most certainly be Not Cool if you don't join, because all the cool kids (the ones with Members Only jackets and national championships) are in this group. Don't stigmatize yourself by failing to join.

Hmm. I never was very good at peer pressure. Anyway, after you join, make your picks. Note that although the spread numbers are listed next to the games, we're just picking winners, not against the spread. You'll need to weight your picks, assigning higher numbers to the games about which you are more confident.

FOP looks like a great site, and I'm excited about it. It is new, though, so for a few weeks anyway, we'll be running the RTT ESPN College Pick 'Em game as well. After a few weeks, assuming all goes well, I'll choose one or the other, depending on which one I'm closer to winning. Kidding!

Really, go sign up. Let's see if we can get between 100 and 200 in this season's pool. You'll still be cool even if you don't join. Just not as cool.
