A quick recap of what the Vols' future opponents did last week.

UAB

  • Lost 34-49 at Florida Atlantic, one of those schools with a frightening Owl logo.

Florida

  • Beat Da U 26-3.
  • Tight game until the Gators scored 17 points in the fourth quarter.
  • Tim Tebow threw for 256 yards and two touchdowns and rushed for 55 more yards.
  • Miami averaged only 1.6 yards per carry and had 61 rushing yards in the game.
  • Worst of all worlds for Tennessee. Florida won going away, yet struggled enough for three quarters to give Urban Meyer something to motivate his team to get better. The Gators have an off week to prepare for the Vols and to shore up the weakness in pass blocking exposed by Miami.
