Auburn, being undefeated and decently balanced between offense and defense, gets the nod to #2. Meanwhile, I have more faith in Florida's coaching staff than LSU's. When you consider where Addazio coaches and that I still respect Chief very highly, that says something.
South Carolina and Arkansas
Either order is fine. I had to pick one, so there you go.
The Final Five
Again, there are a lot of ways to do this. I think that Mississippi has fixed a lot of their early-season problems and, while still a trouble team, are much better than the fiasco that opened the season. Think of them as UCLA-ish, only without so much absurd upswing.
I hear the arguments for Tennessee above Kentucky, but I also see a Tennessee team with both the defensive and offensive lines struggling, and I just get nervous about giving them too much love this soon. That, and if UT has to take a day off of practice to let their only left tackle heal up, you're talking about a team that's living off of zero margin.
I could also make an argument for Georgia to move up a bit now that A. J. Greene is in the lineup. When we was in the game and an active part of the offense, UGA did much better against Colorado. They should continue to improve as they add him back in the mix, but they'll get credit after that comes to fruition.
