Yeah, okay, so maybe the headline is a bit of reach. But kidbourbon can play on words if he wants to.* And if you're presently scratching your head in confusion, that doesn't mean you're slow. It means you just read a tortured tortured headline. Oh well...on to current events:
- Bruce Pearl admits that the whole "this is a trap game" routine was a complete and utter lie and that yesterday evening's stomping of Middle Tennessee State University was a foregone conclusion from the very moment the Blue Raiders were added to our schedule. Pearl then apologized for his dishonesty and emphasized that you have to tell the truth not just SOME of the time, but ALL of the time.
- Things Dooley and gang are doing: (a) making sure present commits are still solid, (b) scavenging "The U" for the freshly 'soft-committed', and (c) visiting recruits in talent hotbeds like here and here. Things Dooley and gang are not doing: delivering to us incessant diatribes about the recruiting process and how it takes on added importance at Tennessee where we have to recruit nationally.
- Channing Fugate had a good block against Kentucky. Wow. Slow news day indeed. Who wants to talk about The Great Great Rafa Nadal? No seriously. You know he won three consecutive majors on different surfaces, right? Which was unprecedented.......**
- Len Elmore strongly supports waterboarding as an appropriate punishment for failure to yield the right-of-way.
Completely premature and unnecessary prediction that I nonetheless stand behind with absolute conviction: whoever the Vols play against in the bowl game is fixin' to get the score run up on 'em.
That is all.
