Justin Hunter is now a Tennessee Volunteer!

[Note by Joel, 02/03/10 10:49 AM EST ] Via Wes Rucker, Justin Hunter is official, making this one of the best wide receivers classes in Tennessee history. Based on projections, of course.

Justin Hunter, the four-star wide receiver from Virginia Beach, inked his name on the paper for the Vols today and will proudly sport Big Orange for his college career.  Though he visited last November, his commitment came after Dooley took the reigns at UT.

Hunter stands 6'-4" and is listed as having a 4.4-40 time.  At about 185 lbs., he will need to bulk up and work on his strength to be able to deal with press and man coverage, but his speed and his soft touch will make him a dangerous threat in pass patterns.

As you can see in his video, he's a terrific all-around athlete with speed, agility, and great leaping strength.  The ceiling is very high for him and will only be limited by his ability to fight off defenders off the line of scrimmage.  I would expect him to be placed in the slot initially so he can get some separation, but he doesn't shy away from contact and there's no reason to believe he won't fill his frame out to match his height.  Justin Hunter is one that Vols fans should be very excited about.
