Bring on the beef! Zach Fulton is a Homewood Flossmoor prospect who grades out as one of the best offensive guards in this year's class. He had been committed to UT for a long time; though he did wisely reconsider his options after the coaching transition in Knoxville, Fulton stuck with his commitment and will play for the Vols.
(Look for #70.)
Fulton is, quite simply put, big. He stands 6'-4" and is listed around 310 lbs. or so. But his size is pretty well all good weight, as he packs a lot of muscle. His one concern will be to improve his flexibility; in the above video, you can see that he runs a little bit stiff and can be slow on changes of direction. But the frame and the muscle structure is in place for him to be a fantastic guard.
This kid is really great news for the Vols. With a line that featured two undersized walk-ons in the interior last year and very little depth behind them, any guard would have been a help. But Fulton is a very high quality guard; I don't like to predict early playing time for offensive linemen, but if any of the current class gets time, Fulton may be the guy.
