UT Lady Vols take on Arkansas, 7 PM Eastern; Kamiko Williams to Start at Point

If there's one constant issue that Pat Summitt has had to deal with for the last two years, it's been finding somebody to play point guard.  This year, Shekinna Stricklen has done an admirable job running the point, but she's a wing player who has had to make the move out of necessity.

But on Sunday, Kamiko Williams played terrific basketball against South Carolina - well enough to get the starting nod for tonight's game against Arkansas.  It's a game that Tennessee should win:  Arkansas is 9-12 overall, and only 1-7 in SEC play.  They have often had difficulty in generating offense, which is not a good sign against the spirited defensive play that the Lady Vols have exhibited recently.  And the game is in Knoxville - a place that the Lady Vols rarely get upset.

The focus on this game is simple:  watch how Kamiko performs.  If she holds he point and shows the talent that everybody knows is hiding underneath that freshman exterior, the team has a chance to build up for a very serious tournament run this year.  If Williams can't consistently get it done at the point over the next few games, Summitt will still be looking for answers for the point position.

Go Lady Vols!
