• Quite a bit of reaction to Tennessee's termination of Bruce Pearl yesterday. Even the Florida fan at SEC blog Team Speed Kills is "a little upset" to see him go. Most agree it had to be done, though, and Tennessee actually pulling the trigger on an unpopular decision has earned the program some begrudging backhanded compliments from Alabama blog Roll Bama Roll for "not being as bad as Ohio State." Along those same lines, Auburn blog Track Em Tigers wonders whether things might have been different if Pearl was a football coach in the SEC instead of a basketball coach.
• After a rough first weekend in the NCAA Tournament, The Smoking Musket says the Big East is broken. The UConn Blog, though, says the league just got unlucky, something not altogether unexpected in an event we call March Madness.
