- Yes, Tennessee released the Notice of Allegations again with the redactions modified, and there was little to no substantive change. A statement from the ironically-named "Associate Athletic Director-Strategic Initiatives" says that all redactions are for the purpose of complying with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act and not for the purpose of withholding information. To which I respond, what section of FERPA requires the redaction of the NCAA Bylaw allegedly violated?

- Bruce Pearl knows his players, thanks in part to the administration of personality profiles, one of which told him to weigh his words carefully with Chris Lofton. Cam Tatum, by the way, is apparently similar to Lofton in that respect, which makes helping him out of his shooting slump a bit of a challenge. Mike Strange wisely identifies "now" as a good time for Tatum to snap out of it. The Vols are 10-4 when Tatum scores in double digits and 7-8 when he does not. They're 3-7 when he scores six or fewer points. Although the best time to plant an oak tree is ten years ago, the next best time is now.
- I doubt that the personality tests revealed to Pearl his latest revelations, though, that Brian Williams' back is "funny," or that Jeronne Maymon "doesn't do anything quietly." (duplicate link.)
- Props to Melvin Goins for being the Tennessee rep on the SEC's 2011 Community Service Team. Goins has done everything from visiting with patients at UT Medical Center to sewing pillow shams.
- For the second year in a row, there's growing criticism about how the SEC men's basketball tournament is seeded. Do I need to trot out the bit about the oak tree again?
- Will's got the South Carolina preview going up at 8:00 today, and with the Women's SEC Tourney tipping off this afternoon in Nashville, Hooper's got an open thread scheduled.
