Jim Tressel Suspension: SBN College Blogs Today

Jim Tressel Suspended

Buckeye blog Along the Olentangy has a helpful timeline of events leading up to Ohio State's suspension of Jim Tressel for failing to disclose information he received in April, 2010 regarding potential NCAA violations of two of his players. The blog's authors seem impressed with the coach's demonstrated remorse but openly wonder about the short- and long-term impact of Tressel's misdeeds. SBNation.com has thoughts on what the Tressel allegations say about the NCAA and the media outlets that cover it. Michigan blog Maize n Brew gets a little more personal and calls out Yahoo!, who broke the story, for giving Tressel only three hours to respond to such a serious matter, and Penn State blog Black Shoe Diaries calls out Ohio State for a responding with a laughably insufficient two-game suspension.
