Tennessee has Fun with Volscars, Alumni Football

Tennessee held its annual  Volscars shindig last night, and word is some mysterious video compilation of news conference Dooleyisms drew some good laughs. I've found no video of that, but if Bruce Pearl's rap got leaked a couple of years ago, it's only a matter of time. RTT Brigade: Go. Find.

Until then, enjoy watching our guys and gals having a bit of fun:

But that's not the only feel-good video of the day. You can't miss the official UT videos of the Alumni Flag Football Game and the Alumni Tailgate. Really. Go watch them. It will make you happy. (Note to UTsports (again): Did you know that less than 10% of the people reading this will actually follow those links and watch those videos on which you invested so many resources despite me giving them the hard sell to do so and that most people will in fact watch the Volscars video I was able to embed? Is the point of making the videos to get traffic to your website or to get the videos watched? #welcometotheinternet )

No surprise here, but both Tobias Harris and Scotty Hopson submitted paperwork to declare for the NBA Draft by the Sunday deadline. The deadline to change their minds, provided they haven't signed with agents, is May 8. Harris is projected as the No. 19 pick in the first round to the Charlotte Bobcats by NBADraft.net and the No. 24 pick to the Oklahoma City Thunder by DraftExpress.com. Hopson is projected as the No. 46 pick in the second round to the Los Angeles Lakers by DraftExpress.com and undrafted by NBADraft.net.

Shifting to the NFL Draft, Mike Strange takes the story of week (that this year's draft will be short on Vols) and goes one step further, suggesting that with the possible exception of Janzen Jackson, it may be 2013 or 2014 before we see many more Tennessee players get drafted.

Etceteras . . . GVX has a nice feature on Allison Dooley. More unembeddable videos from UTSports: Basketball tips with Kenny Hall and Basketball Workouts.
