Around SB Nation's college blogs today:
- Burnt Orange Nation compares a lack of institutional control charge against Boise State (for a tennis coach sneaking an ineligible player by the 10 people in the world watching) with a lack of such a charge against Ohio State (for Jim Tressel sneaking five ineligible players into the Fiesta Bowl) and rhetorically wonders if perhaps it's a completely different institution that lacks control.
- Yes, the Broncos football program had some minor violations, too, but as Boise State blog OBNUG notes and seemingly everyone else but the NCAA agrees, it's laughable stuff. OBNUG goes on to generate its own fictional list of additional minor violations that might just get the Smurfs the death penalty if they're not more careful.
- Spencer Hall is glued to the live stream of Kansas State installing Astroturf. Well, that and his scotch. And his tiny yellow man. And Mahler.
