The News Sentinel is reporting that Tyler Bray -- the guy Derek Dooley called "the face of our offense" at SEC Media Days last week -- will not face charges for a recent incident involving him and his roommate throwing beer bottles and golf balls at someone's car from their balcony at The Landings. Knoxville Police Department spokesman Darrell DeBusk said that no charges will be filed because the the victim does not wish to prosecute. The reason for that is apparently that Bray owned up to the stupidity and offered to pay for all of the damages.
This is a relatively minor incident, and good for Bray for offering to make it right, but the foolishness is worrisome as is the passing mention of Bray and roommate being evicted from their apartment, which could either be nothing or more unreported immaturity. Bray's got a lot of pressure on him this fall, but he better get his head on straight or things could go very wrong in a real hurry.
