There's nothing like a bye week to remind us that the fate of our team is impacted as much by its opponents as it is by the team itself. There's not a lot of change in Tennessee's statistical rankings this week, but there is some. Here are the Vols' national rankings in all major statistical categories after the bye week. Green means Top 30, red means Bottom 30, and yellow is the big, fat middle. Note the caveats before proceeding. First up is the Stuff UT is Doing Well.
What Tennessee is doing well
The good news here is that the Vols didn't drop out of the Top 30 in any category in which they were previously in the Top 30. That, plus they crept into the higher tier in Rushing Offense without touching the ball.

Where Tennessee needs major improvement
Also some good news here in that there are no new additions to the Bottom 30 and they climbed out in First Downs Defense.

Players in the Top 30
Not a lot of change here, but continued good hustle for Max Arnold, who ranks 25th in the nation in Fumbles Recovered.
