Tennessee Baseball Releases 2015 Schedule

27 of the Vols' 55 games this coming season will be against teams that made the postseason.

The University of Tennessee has finalized its 2015 baseball schedule, and will open the season in Miami, Florida against Florida International.   Outside of the Southeastern Conference, the Vols will also face the Big Ten's Rutgers Scarlet Knights, AAC's Cincinnati Bearcats, and Dave Serrano's former UC Irvine Anteaters.  Serrano was the head coach at UC Irvine from 2005-2007, where he lead them to the postseason twice, including a College World Series trip in 2007.  Out of the SEC West this season the Vols draw Texas A&M, Arkansas, Ole Miss, and Mississippi State.  Tennessee with play 31 games at home in Lindsey Nelson Stadium, and 24 games on the road.

Three of Tennessee's opponents for this coming year made the College World Series, with UC Irvine losing in the second round, Ole Miss in the semi finals, and Vanderbilt winning the championship.  Half of the games this upcoming season will be against teams that made the post season in 2014.  At least two of the games will be televised this year, with the April 9th Missouri and April 16th Kentucky games slated to appear on the SEC Network.

March 17: vs Austin Peay
March 20-22: vs Georgia
March 25: vs Cincinnati
March 27-29: at Vanderbilt
April 3-5: at Ole Miss
April 7: at Western Carolina
April 9-11: vs Missouri
April 14: at Middle Tennessee State
April 16-18: at Kentucky
April 24-26: vs South Carolina
April 28: at East Tennessee State
May 1-3: vs Texas A&M
May 6: vs Belmont
May 8-10: at Arkansas
May 12: vs UNC Asheville
May 14-16: vs Mississippi State

The Vols will also be hosting an open scrimmage against Austin Peay in two weeks, at 1 p.m. ET on November 1st at Lindsey Nelson Stadium.
