Butch Jones Press Conference Thread

Streeter Lecka

The bye week is over, and Monday again brings Butch Jones' regularly scheduled noon press conference. As usual, the link is not yet up on utsports.com at the time of the writing, but it should be easy enough to find closer to noon. As usual, if schedule permits, I will give live updates in the comments, so that anyone who is unable to watch can follow along.

When we last saw one of Jones' weekly press conferences, he was trying hard to pump the brakes on the Josh Dobbs Bandwagon, because he doesn't want to crown an individual. Since then, Dobbs put on a masterful performance against South Carolina, but while it was fantastic, it wasn't perfect, so expect more brake-pumping this week.

Additionally, we should get updates on the team's health coming out of the bye. We know Josh Smith has been shut down for the season and is hoping for a medical redshirt, and we know that Marquez North practiced last week after being banged up against South Carolina, but we should get the scoop on any other injuries that will affect the team going into the Kentucky game.

And finally, Butch Jones will break down a Kentucky game which is key to Tennessee's bowl hopes. This is bound to include him endeavoring to convince the fan base that Kentucky is a very good team not to be taken lightly. At least one of which he will be right about.
