Mosley Injured In Car Accident

Multiple outlets reported that incoming freshman Charles Mosley was involved in a car accident on Sunday.

The full extent of Mosley's injuries remains at this point unconfirmed, though the speculation grapevine has been whispering about two broken bones in his legs.  I'm not sure whether it would be worse to break one bone each in both legs, or two bones in a single leg, but neither option sounds like a day at the casino.

Mosley is a 6'5, 378 lb defensive lineman out of Brighton, TN, who was a four star recruit and played in high school on both the offensive and defensive lines. To the extent the speculation grapevine whispers things even loosely resembling veracity, it's likely that Mr. Mosley will miss the entirety of the 2014 campaign.  We wish the big fella a speedy recovery.

Stokes Makes His Professional Debut in NBA Summer League

Jarnell Stokes debuted as a professional on Saturday for the Memphis Grizzlies in a game against Oklahoma City, the outcome of which mattered only to the most degenerate of gamblers.  Stokes got 10 points and five rebounds on Saturday and then added 16 points in his second game on Sunday.  He also added some nice dunkage to his youtube resume in the process.

  • Butch Jones was featured on SI.com where he mentioned, among other things, that "[the fans] can feel the energy.  It's contagious."  I don't know about you, but I got a fever, and the only prescription, is more T.

Catch the fever, Vol fans!  And do drive safe.
