Coleman Thomas Arrested

The sophomore offensive lineman has been removed from all team activities following an alleged charge of selling stolen property

Kevin Jairaj-USA TODAY Sports

The Vols received their first bad press of the 2015 season as Coleman Thomas was arrested today on felony charges of theft, for allegedly stealing an Xbox One and three video games for the system from a fellow student.

According to an arrest record attained by the Knoxville News Sentinel, the robbery occurred on March 13th at Reese Hall on the University's campus. The stolen items were sold the same day to a local Gamestop store on Clinton Highway - I'm assuming by Thomas or someone who has implicated Thomas in the robbery.

Following this turn of events, Michael Spencer of WATE in Knoxville tweeted out the following:

This looks to be the first step in a long suspension, if not complete removal, from the program.

As I wrote on Tuesday, Coleman had been getting work at center for the Vols after spending the majority of his freshman season at tackle. The Vols could be losing some important depth if Thomas is no longer with the team from here on out.

Will this roster move finally free up the massive Dontavius Blair for another look at either tackle position on the two deep?

Stay posted for any and all updates on this developing story.
