Tennessee Lands Receiver Commit From Louisiana

Corey Henderson of Shreveport, Louisiana committed to the Vols today! Henderson should be the first of several wideouts to sign with Tennessee this recruiting cycle.

Dale Zanine-USA TODAY Sports

Tennessee expects to sign several receivers this cycle with the expected graduation of senior receivers Pig Howard, Jonathon Johnson and Von Pearson following the 2015 season.

The first to commit to the Vols is Corey Henderson of Evangel Christian in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Henderson is a three star recruit according to Rivals and had offers from Georgia, Arkansas, TCU, Utah among many others.

Here's a link to Henderson's highlight page.

Expect Henderson to make an immediate impact in the slot and in the return game for the Vols when he arrives on campus. Don't let his rankings fool you into thinking he can't come in right away and play, the current staff has proven to have a keen eye for talent regardless of "star" rankings. Some notably three star players under Butch's watch include Cam Sutton, Joshua Dobbs, Corey Vereen, Emmanuel Moseley, Jashon Robertson and Ethan Wolf.
