Vols gain commitment from 6'6" JUCO WR Jeff George

The Tennessee coaching staff is doing a good job of filling needs, as the team now has two commits from a position of need starting in 2016

Them Vols gained a big commitment this weekend from Dodge City Community College wide receiver Jeff George. No, not that Jeff George, this Jeff George is listed at six-foot-six and would make for an ideal red zone target as soon as he stepped on campus. The Dodge City prospect currently has offers to play at Mississippi State, Arizona State, Cincinnati and Southern Miss among others.

Happy with my decision. Can't wait for the next chapter of my life #VolNation #VFL

George committed to the team this weekend after visiting the campus two weekends in a row, despite the 11-hour drive it takes him from Kansas. The wide receiver intends to enroll early in January and will have two seasons to play in Knoxville upon his enrollment.

At six-foot-six, George's length and enormous wingspan were not the only reason the Vols were pursuing him, as the team anticipates losing Pig Howard, Jonathan Johnson, possibly Marquez North to early entrance in the NFL Draft and Von Pearson, should he make a return to the team. With so many potential losses next offseason, wide receiver is a crucial area of need for the Vols and they are expected to sign at least one if not two or three more potential receivers in their 2016 class.
