Tonight the Crimson Tide goes for its fourth championship in seven years, and Clemson goes for its first since 1981. They'll meet in the College Football Playoff Championship starting at 8:30 PM ET on ESPN.
It's unfortunately familiar territory for Tennessee fans: do you want Alabama to win or lose with the title on the line? A win would put the SEC back in victory lane and make the league a ridiculous 9-2 in the postseason this year. On the other hand, watching Bama be disappointed isn't something some of us would particularly mind. In our bowl pick 'em 66.2% are taking the Crimson Tide.
The difference for Tennessee this year? I can type this sentence with a straight face: I want Alabama to win because it would mean more if we beat them next year.
