We Need To Talk About Kevin
- As you've probably heard by now, over the weekend Vandy's head basketball coach Kevin Stallings "left voluntarily"/"had-his-stuff-scattered-all-over-the-front-lawn." Kinda crazily, he'll be headed to Pitt to replace Jamie Dixon, a move which has drawn some- uh- mixed reactions:
It could be worse, we could have hired a reanimated hitler https://t.co/PFnakeLAu1— RIP Pitt Basketball (@IAmSpilly) March 27, 2016
Speaking of failed former Vandy coaches: according to Penn State mouthpiece Onward State (iteself quoting a longer SI article), former Penn State quarterback and (inexplicably) once-presumed first-round-lock Christian Hackenberg apparently spent his NFL interviews complaining about coach James Franklin (which, reportedly, may further damage his draft position, because NFL). This is how James Franklin spent his weekend:
- LVFL Bashaara Graves was named to the honorable mention in the AP All-American Team, which is cool and good.
- Football practice continues apace: a practice report is here and over here's some scrimmage footage.
- Bovada released new Heisman odds Monday, and both Josh Dobbs (35/1) and Jalen Hurd (45/1) made the list (do those odds seem kinda short to anybody else?). The top three favorites are usual suspects DeShaun Watson (3/1), Christian McCaffrey (6/1) and Leonard Fournette (6/1).
