Sunday's game saw the Vols leave the bases loaded three separate times, including in the ninth inning when they loaded them up with no outs and down one run. All told the Vols stranded 33 runners on base across the three games while scoring 13 runs.
Tennessee leads the all-time series with Appalachian State 12-4. The Vols won the last meeting 5-3 back in February 2014. Prior to that the Mountaineers had won two straight dating back to 2009.
