Thursday smells like bored offseason sportswriters
- Morning! In your football news: Adam Rittenberg over at the Worldwide Leader has a deeply belabored article mostly about Jalen Reeves-Maybin and Alvin Kamara's (frankly delightful) running food-blogger Twitter inside joke- but there's also some nice stuff in there about their friendship and political activism. Check it out.
- Meanwhile, SECCountry (is that one word? anybody?) has a rundown of Tennessee's tight end depth chart, a position group of particular interest with the returning Ethan Wolf and newly-minted WR-convert Jason Croom (and with our passing proclivities - #DebordGonnaDebord). Also, The SEC Network (two words!) sent Greg McElroy to town to watch the Vols practice for a few days, and he came away pretty impressed.
And, because "STOP THAAASSS TOO MANY HYPE VIDEOS" is something nobody's ever said ever, this:
- Around the conference/ex-conference: The Mothership's Jason Kirk has a rundown of Urban Meyer's latest recruiting dustup (sounds like he was smug and condescending to a high schooler; please, control your shock). Elsewhere, Florida QB Will Grier, who you may remember from such films as Rando Florida Backup Quarterback Crushing Your Dreams, Part 27: Mockingjay, appears to be headed to West Virginia (insert your own WV/PED joke here).
