Week Four TV schedule and rooting guide for Vols fans

Saturday is huge for the SEC East race.

NCAA Football: Ohio at Tennessee Randy Sartin-USA TODAY Sports

It's a huge week for the SEC East, as the Vols host the Gators and the Georgia Bulldogs travel to Ole Miss. But the week kicks off with Clemson taking on a dangerous Georgia Tech team on Thursday. Here's your college football TV schedule and rooting guide for this week, specially curated for Vols fans.

Thursday, Sept. 22, 2016

Matchup Time (ET) TV / Online
(5) Clemson at Georgia Tech 7:30 pm ESPN / WatchESPN

Root for Georgia Tech here, obviously. Go Ramblin' Wreck!

Saturday, Sept. 24, 2016

Matchup Time (ET) TV / Online
(12) Georgia at (23) Ole Miss Noon ESPN / WatchESPN
(11) Wisconsin at (8) Michigan State Noon BTN / BTN2Go
(19) Florida at (14) Tennessee 3:30 pm CBS / Stream
(17) Arkansas vs. (10) Texas A&M (Arlington, TX) 9:00 pm ESPN / WatchESPN

Saturday's main feature, of course, is the huge College Gameday contest between the Vols and the Florida Gators at 3:30 on CBS. That Georgia-Ole Miss game on ESPN at noon, though, also impacts the SEC East race, so if you can somehow listen or catch it on video on the way to the game, do that. Root for Ole Miss to give the Bulldogs a loss that will count in the SEC East standings.

You might want to DVR the Wisconsin-Michigan State game, too, as that should be a good one, but you're unlikely to make it through the day without hearing or seeing the score on that one, and it doesn't have much impact on the Vols.

Hopefully we're all fat and happy after our own game and can settle in to enjoy the Arkansas-Texas A&M game in Arlington on ESPN at 9:00. I'm rooting for A&M in that one. I want them to be beatable when it comes time to play the Vols, but having the win mean the most that it can is also good.

And then everyone goes to bed with a smile on their face. If all goes well, the Vols could have the upper hand against both Florida and Georgia in the SEC East race when the sun sets on Saturday.
