We are just one week away from National Signing Day, when we will finally know all there is to know about the Vols’ 2017 recruiting class. But until then, the news will be coming continuously. So let’s take a look.

As we discussed yesterday, Tennessee picked up its third running back commitment in the 2017 class from 3-star Bartow, Fla. back Timothy Jordan. Jordan’s numbers and recruiting rankings don’t immediately wow you, but he looks to be a solid pickup that will definitely bolster depth in the backfield.

Over the weekend, Tennessee lost a commitment from 3-star - 0.8813 according to the 247Sports Composite - OLB Jaquan Henderson, who flipped to Georgia Tech. Henderson, who is from Newton, Ga., flipped to the Yellow Jackets while on an official visit last weekend in Atlanta.
Other than those pieces of information, much of the recruiting process is in a holding pattern until this weekend. This is the final weekend of official visits before Signing Day the following week, so there is bound to be plenty of news come Monday.
As you’ll recall, Tyler Byrd flipped his commitment from Miami to Tennessee during the final weekend last year. So we’ll see if there are any surprises in store for the Vols this time around.
