College Football Odds: Tennessee opens as massive underdogs at Alabama

Ouch.

Per BetOnline.ag, Tennessee has opened as 34 point underdogs at Alabama. After falling to 0-3 in the SEC, the Vols get to take a trip to Tuscaloosa. Vegas doesn’t have much faith in Tennessee, rightfully so.

Alabama is fresh off another dominating performance, beating Arkansas 41-9. Tennessee was favored to beat South Carolina at home by three, but came up just short.

Biggest. Ever.

So now the Vols get to take a trip to Alabama with their redshirt freshman quarterback and a coach that seems to be standing on his last leg. Nick Saban is the last person Butch Jones wants to see on the opposing sideline.

The line itself is pretty embarrassing. I realize that it’s Alabama, but think about it. The team you’ve got to beat to win the SEC is viewed as 34 point superiors to you in year five of the current regime. That’s a big problem. ‘Bama can probably name their score here.
