Tennessee’s game on October 14th against the South Carolina Gamecocks has been set for a noon (eastern) kick. The game will be on ESPN2, or ESPN.

Tennessee has a bye this week before getting the Gamecocks at home on the 14th. As you probably know, Butch Jones and Tennessee haven’t beaten Will Muschamp as a head coach, dating back to his time at Florida. Last year’s brutal loss in Columbia all but ended the Vols’ shot at an SEC East title.
In what is sure to be a pressure packed situation for Butch Jones, he needs to find a way to get past Muschamp to extinguish (some) of the flames around his burning seat.
One thing that I’m fascinated to see here is attendance. Fans at Neyland Stadium walked out on a very competitive game against UMass after Tennessee botched a potential win late against Florida. How will they show up for a noon kick game after Jones has seemingly lost most of his support?
The answer to that question will tell me exactly where Butch Jones stands with this fanbase. Neyland Stadium is rarely not at capacity in the fall, but that could change if Butch Jones and his staff can’t right this ship in a hurry.
