USA Today released their annual article detailing the salaries of each head coach in the college football ranks. It’s one of my favorite posts of the year and absolutely fascinating to dig through.

Per their numbers, Tennessee head coach Butch Jones ranks 20th in the nation. He makes $4,110,000 per year. He has a maximum bonus of $1,000,000. They have his buyout number sitting at $8,125,000.

Butch Jones ranked 18th on this list last season. He currently checks in 7th in the SEC.

Alabama’s Nick Saban leads the way, of course. He’s the highest paid coach in the country by a mile, making $11,132,000 per year. He’s worth every penny, too. Clemson’s Dabo Swinney is second on the list, making $8,526,800 per season with a staggering 40 million dollar buyout.

It’s pretty interesting to roll through some of these salaries and buyouts. What stands out to you?
