The Tennessee Volunteers are just trying to get to the end of this football season with their recruiting class somewhat in tact. It isn’t going well. Jatavious Harris, Brendon Harris, Lyn-J Dixon and Cade Mays have all backed off of their initial commitment to Tennessee. Several others are sniffing around elsewhere.
In Columbus today, check out who is in attendance.

We knew five star offensive tackle Cade Mays was going to take this visit, but four star quarterback Adrian Martinez is a surprise. Martinez has been committed to Tennessee since the summer. He visited Knoxville on September 29th.
Tennessee has one other quarterback committed to the 2018 class in Michael Penix Jr.
Again, this comes with the territory of a potential coaching change. The current commitments know what is happening, so they’re understandably coming up with some backup plans. If (when) a change is made, it’s going to be fascinating to follow the new recruiting timeline that includes an early signing period. That’s a lot of ground to cover for a potentially new coaching staff.
We’ll see if a (potentially) new staff can make up some ground on guys like Mays, Dixon and Harris. Hopefully they won’t have any ground to make up on Martinez.
