The Vols currently hold a commanding 75-31-5 overall series advantage over their rivals from Nashville, but it was the Commodores who pulled off a 45-34 upset in their last meeting. The loss knocked Tennessee out of contention for a possible Sugar Bowl birth.
Tennessee will need to beat LSU this week and Vanderbilt to close out the 2017 season to reach bowl eligibility. Vanderbilt is a similar situation as they also sit at a 4-6 overall, will need to win out versus both Missouri and Tennessee. Both teams are currently winless in the SEC.
